Union Thugs Set Fire When Refused WorkPosted: 2014-02-23 by Jan Benscoter 2-20-14Watchdogwire
"Evidence of the viewpoint that union members coerce others to get what they want is showing up on the job site, and in court.
According to the FBI, a recently released indictment alleges that union members used intimidation and violence to obtain work. When they were refused the work, they set the Quaker Meeting House at 20 East Mermaid Lane in Philadelphia on fire.
An FBI release states, three defendants “set a crane on fire and cut steel beams and bolts. In another episode set forth in the indictment, members of Local 401 picketed a construction site near King of Prussia Mall between May and June 2010 because the contractor did not hire union workers.”
The statement continues to explain that defendants “resorted to violence when they assaulted some of the non-union workers with baseball bats.” They call themselves “The Helpful Union Guys,” or THUGS."
