Today, the Supremes ruled that government Townhall meetings such as those conducted by local governments CAN start their meetings with a prayer. Even though people from all faiths were invited to attend a Townhall at a City Council meeting in a town in New York state, two atheists in attendance claimed it was too stressful for them to have to endure such an atrocity. So, of course, they sued the town.
The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that prayers to start such meetings are entirely within the bounds of the Constitution.
A win for the good guys.
